Coffee Contemplations – Vol. XI : I Trust

Trust.

Oh, Trust.. That’s a tough one sometimes, isn’t it? And I don’t just mean trusting others or even trusting yourself. Trusting the process is a tricky balance to strike. Learning to trust the sometimes painful process of finding your true north and walking the path toward a happier and healthier you is a battle we all face. You just haven’t been able to nail that handstand. Your morning meditation is becoming more irritating than enlightening. All you want to eat is chocolate and sugar in the middle of a juice cleanse. These hurdles and frustrations are all just part of the process toward finding balance and stillness of mind for the lessons that they teach.

In trusting the process, we are then forced to trust our teachers and ourselves. Trusting that teacher can guide you toward that handstand or that all those blogs about juicing were right; the brownie craving will pass. Trusting ourselves to hold our bodies upside down or that we can stay in meditation, even if it’s itchy. Trusting that we can means that we eventually will.

Today as you wake, as you meditate, as you practice, and as you go through your day – allow yourself to be a part of the process and experience all that life has to offer. It’s not an easy thing – but trust me, it’s worth it.

I trust. I trust you, my teachers. I trust you, my body. I trust you, my spirit. I trust you, my mind. I trust you, my process. I trust.
